1. The Death of Vivek Oji: Good reads ,says The Death of Vivek Oji is an enthralling novel. It begins with the scene where a mother opens the door one after another to find her son wrapped in akwete material at her feet. The story then goes on to revolve around the story of Oji and Osita.             This book was authored by Akwaeke Emezi. It is their third novel. Their first novel being freshwater and the second a young adult novel, PET.

2. Every bone a prayer :  The book centres around , ten year old Misty. She can talk to everything around her, snakes , bottles ,crawdads, she understands how they think. But she can't talk to her parents that way and her sister , who doesn't have her time. Her friend William begins to abuse her, making things tougher. You should read about Musty and her escape and healing.

Every bone a prayer, was authored by Ashley Blooms , it is her debut novel.

3. The Black kids: Ashley Bennet is a wealthy black kid , living in Los Angeles in 1992, she is a senior, and it is the end of senior year. Life is good, but then everything changes , when the policemen who beat up Rodney King half to death were acquitted. Read about how Ashley Bennet copes through the Rodney King riots.
