Latest news on Nigerian-American writer ,Nnedi Okorafor

 

  The afrofuturism author ,Nnedi Okorafor revealed on her instagram page that she is officially working on the third Akata book, the previous books in the series were titled Akata witch and Akata warrior, published in 2011 and 2017 respectively by Viking and Penguin and Cassava Republic Press in Nigeria as what Sunny saw in the flames.

She also added that although she has a lot of other ongoing projects, she can't stop and it is already in motion, she can't stop until it is done. And she knows how it will end. 

  

   Nnedimma Nkemdili "Nnedi" Okorafor(formerly Okorafor-Mbachu) ; born April 8, 1974 ,is a Nigerian-American writer of fantasy and science fiction for both children and adults.

 She is also a professor.  She is best known for Binti, Who Fears Death, Zahrah the Windseeker, Akata Witch, and Lagoon. In 2015, Brittle Paper named her the African Literary Person of the Year. Her awards include,Wole Soyinka Prize for Literature in Africa ,The World Fantasy Award, Nebula Award for Best Novella

Hugo Award for Best Novella

The Lodestar Award,Locus Award for Best YA Novel, Macmillan Writer's Prize for Africa, Carl Brandon Parallax Award and 

Children's Africana Book Award. 

Nnedi refers to herself as a Najamerican.
