Ten YA authors you should read

   Here is a list I made of top ten YA authors that you should read. In ascending order!



10 .Sarah J Maas :  Sarah J. Maas was born 5th,March ,1986. She  is an American fantasy author, best known for her debut series Throne of Glass, first published in 2012 by Bloomsbury and A Court of Thorns and Roses series, first published in 2015 also by Bloomsbury.

    Maas began writing what would become her debut novel, Throne of Glass, when she was sixteen years old. After writing several chapters of the novel (then titled Queen of Glass), she posted them on FictionPress.com, where it was one of the most popular stories on the site. It was later removed from the site when she decided to try to publish the novel.The story line of the series is based on Cinderella, with the premise of "What if Cinderella was not a servant, but an assassin? And what if she didn't attend the ball to meet the prince, but to kill him, instead?"

9.Brandy Colbert: Brandy Colbert is an American author of young adult fiction and non-fiction, best known for her Stonewall Children's Award-winning novel Little & Lion. Colbert was born and raised in the Ozarks, in Springfield, Missouri.

   The works of Dorothy West, Barthe DeClements, Jesmyn Ward, Colson Whitehead, and Zadie Smith were impactful to her writing career. She began working on what would be her debut novel, Pointe, in 2009. Her other work includes Finding Yvonne and The only black girls in town. 





8.John Green :   

John Michael Green (born August 24, 1977) is an American author and YouTube content creator. He won the 2006 Printz Award for his debut novel, Looking for Alaska,and his fourth solo novel, The Fault in Our Stars, debuted at number one on The New York Times Best Seller list in January 2012. The 2014 film adaptation opened at number one at the box office.

7. Jerry Spinelli :  Jerry Spinelli born on February 1, 1941 is an American writer of children's novels that feature adolescence and early adulthood. He is best known for Maniac Magee,Stargirl and Wringer.




6. Rainbow Bowell:    



Rainbow Rowell (born February 24, 1973) is an American author of young adult and adult contemporary novels. Her young adult novels Eleanor & Park (2012), Fangirl (2013) and Carry On (2015) have been subjects of critical acclaim.



5. Meg Cabot:    


Meggin Patricia Cabot (born February 1, 1967) is an American author of romantic and paranormal fiction for teenagers and adults. She has written and published over fifty books and is best known for Princess Diaries, which was later adapted by Walt Disney Pictures into two feature films. Cabot's books have been the recipients of numerous awards, including the New York Public Library Books for the Teen Age, the American Library Association Quick Pick for Reluctant Readers, the Tennessee Volunteer State TASL Book Award, the Book Sense Pick, the Evergreen Young Adult Book Award, the IRA/CBC Young Adult Choice, and many others.She has also had numerous number one New York Times bestsellers, and more than 25 million copies of her books are in print worldwide.



4. Nicola Yoon:  

Nicola Yoon is a Jamaican-American author. She is best known for writing the 2015 young adult novel Everything, Everything, a New York Times best seller and the basis of a 2017 film of the same name. In 2016, she released The Sun Is Also a Star, a novel that was adapted to a film.







3.Angie Thomas : Angie Thomas (born September 20, 1988)  is an American YA author, best known for writing The Hate U Give (2017). Her second young adult novel, On the Come Up, was released on February 25 2019.

2. Siobhan Vivian: 


Siobhan Vivian (born January 12, 1979) is a bestselling American novelist, editor, and screenwriter. Her books include, The list ,A little friendly advice, Same difference, Stay sweet ,The burn for burn trilogy and others. 



1.Jenny Han:  Jenny Han was on born September 3, 1980

She  is an American author of young adult fiction and children's fiction. She is best known for writing The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy and the To All the Boys series, the latter of which was adapted into a film of the same name in 2018 starring Lana Condor and Noah Centineo. Her works include ,To all the boys I have ever loved trilogy, The Summer I turned pretty trilogy, Shug ,Clara Lee and the Apple pie, and the Burn and burn trilogy.
